About the conference
The 1st International Conference on Sonorities Research - Powers of Sound is an initiative of the Image, Sonorities and Technology Studies Group (GEIST), formed by researchers from six Brazilian intitutes: UFSC, UFES, IFRS, UFRGS, UNISINOS and UFF. The iniciative seeks to promote and update sound related discussion in different countries and their relations with several knowledge fields, expanding the reach of Sound Studies field of reasearch in Brazil and in dialog with institutions and foreign researchers.

Sobre a conferência
A I Conferência Internacional de Pesquisa em Sonoridades - Poderes do Som é uma iniciativa do Grupo de Estudos em Imagens Sonoridades e Tecnologias (GEIST), formado por pesquisadores das instituições UFSC, UFES, IFRS, UFRGS, UNISINOS e UFF. A proposta é a de promover e atualizar as discussões acerca do som em diferentes países e de seus cruzamentos com uma diversidade de áreas do conhecimento, ampliando o alcance do campo de Estudos do Som no Brasil, em diálogo com instituições e pesquisadores estrangeiros.
